Impact on daily life and agriculture
The lack of rain and rising heat are becoming a matter of concern for local residents, especially farmers. Reduced soil moisture could affect crops, and the ongoing dry spell may lead to water supply issues in some areas.
The meteorological department has indicated a possibility of rain in the coming days, including isolated heavy rainfall around June 21. However, as of now, June 2025 has been noticeably hotter and drier for Kangra than usual.
